I am looking for information on Josephus Roberts. He was born of Engilsh parantage and came to the US as a child. He settled in North Carolina and died young. His son, Grant Roberts came to GA when he was about 13.

Lots of luck. I am gg grandson of Josephus and ? Grant. My gfather Thomas Sanford Roberts was the son of Grant and Eliza Garland Davenport. They are buried in the cemetery at Whitesburg, GA.

I've been researching this family and haven't been able to make a breakthrough on Josephus, but have been working on the decendants of Grant Roberts. Any information you might be able to add (on top of the book that Pearlie Deford did published in 1990) would be greatly appreciated.
