Edna was born in Pennsylvania (?) in approx. 1899. She lived with the Raber/Haffey family in Mt. Carmel, Pa. and married William G. Burkhardt around 1917. My dad, William A. Burkhardt was born in 1918 and married Pompeia Maddalena in 1940. I am having the hardest time finding out who my grandmother's parents were. She lived with Cornelius and Susan Haffey and Charles and Albert Raber in Mt. Carmel, at least I believe she lived with them. I believe she was raised as Charles' sister. She took care of him toward the end of his life and predeceased him by about 1 year.
